This is my first move, what do I do?
Commercial Transfer will provide you with a Move Manager, who will walk you through the whole process from the initial planning to the operational stages of your relocation project. The Move Manager is your point of contact throughout for questions or queries before, during or after the project.
How do I arrange a survey for my business move?
Simply give us a call or use the online enquiry form and one of our team will contact you to discuss your requirements or to arrange a meeting at a time to suit you.
What is Commercial Transfer's track record?
We have undertaken varied and numerous successful relocation projects across a wide cross-section of institutions, including hospitals, libraries, universities, colleges and banks, to name but a few.
Can you move IT equipment?
Yes, we provide a full decommissioning and recommissioning service and use computer crates or movement cages, flat screen covers, keyboard protection and bubble wrap to ensure safe transportation.

Are you fully insured?
We are fully insured for building and contents, public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.

I have redundant furniture that needs to be disposed of - can you help?
Yes, we work with partners for the disposal of unwanted furniture. This can range from charities to local recycling facilities where the materials are recycled instead of ending up in landfill.
Do you provide storage?
We can provide storage for your equipment in one of our secure warehouses. This ranges from the storage of furniture to the fully bar-coded managed archive service - items can be delivered out to you and returned whenever required.
Do you hire out crates?
Our sister company Commercial Crate Hire can provide you with crates to meet your specific requirements, ranging from computer and office crates to metre-long crates.
Do I need empty filing cabinets before the move?
That depends - filing cabinets that are anti-tilt do not need to be emptied if there are no stairs to be negotiated (anti-tilt cabinets only let you open one drawer at a time). Otherwise, cabinets can be moved with the bottom two drawers full.
During the move, do you provide building and lift protection?
Commercial Transfer provides protection for your flooring, doors and lifts during the physical relocation whether that be internally or to new premises.
When is the best time to move?
That depends on your operational requirements - moving after hours or at the weekend can be an option to minimise downtime, reducing staff disruption and the competition for space and resources.
Do you provide a porterage service for internal relocation?
Commercial Transfer can provide you with the manpower and equipment, including crates, to undertake work under instruction for all your porterage requirements.
